Family goals! Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have captured adorable moments with their three kids over the years.
“Being a mother is the best opportunity and challenge I’ve ever been blessed with in life,” Simpson told Us Weekly in May 2018. “Right now, my kids are in this amazing stage where I’m really listening to them without judgment and they’re teaching me so much.These little innocent kids teach me so much about life.”
The fashion designer and the former NFL player, who wed in 2014, share daughters, Maxwell and Birdie, and son, Ace.
“Eric is more the disciplinarian,” Simpson explained to Us. “If [Maxwell] asks for a dog, she gets one, and then Eric finds a way to make the dog not end up in the house.”
“She has a great voice,” she added of her eldest daughter when asked if she’ll also be a singer. “She’s pretty shy. Mom’s shy too, so you never know. You never know if you’re a born entertainer or not.”
Parenthood has been “a totally different experience” for Simpson and Johnson since Birdie’s birth, a source exclusively told Us in March 2019. The insider went on to call the athlete a “super dad.”
“Maxwell and Ace are very helpful and sweet with the baby,” the source added at the time. “They’re both very curious and like to be involved.”
The fashion designer has documented her eldest two children’s big siblings skills over the years via Instagram, from holding Birdie to reading books to her.
Simpson celebrated the little one’s 1st birthday in March 2020. “You have created in me a healing purposeful life to live most fully and love most deeply,” she captioned an Instagram slideshow at the time. “With you my soul has been set free to the beauty of pure light. You guide me to shine because your heartbeat connected me to mine. Sweet baby girl, you have illuminated all of our worlds with your bright mystical star-bursting smile. I am forever yours, you are forever mine. Life get ready because the both of us were born ready. I love you.”
