The circle of life! Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan stepped out in Sydney, Australia, on Tuesday, October 16, hours after the palace confirmed they are expecting their first child. Meghan, 37, stunned in a white sleeveless dress by Karen Gee, while Harry sported a sleek suit during their trip to the Admiralty House with Australia's Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove. A source told Us Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex is “a couple days just shy of her 15-week mark,” noting that she is due around her niece Princess Charlotte’s birthday, May 2. After attending Princess Eugenie’s wedding at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle — the same location they wed in May — on Friday, October 12, the duo jetted off to Australia for their first international tour together. They will also visit Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand during their tour. The source told Us that the Suits alum “has no plans to change any stops on the tour” due to her pregnancy. Meghan told a group of dignitaries at the Admiralty House that she and Harry “are very excited” to start their family. She thanked them for their well wishes and said, “That’s very kind.”

Special Honor

After the Admiralty House, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, which named two koalas after the couple ahead of their May nuptials.

Furry Friends

Meghan and Harry were introduced to their namesake koalas. She called the animals “so, so sweet” before asking zookeeper Suzie MacNamara about their diet and sleeping habits. The pair were also shown wallabies and quokkas in their enclosures, as well as a short-legged echidna being studied in the zoo’s research laboratory.

Animal Lovers

Harry seemed concerned about the animals’ well-being due to the noise from photographers’ cameras. One of the scientists assured the royal that the animals were “OK” and simply “drooling out of excitement.”

Meghan thanked four female researchers for their efforts. “Well done,” she said. “Congratulations! That’s really impressive.” The parents-to-be later opened the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning, where they were presented with flowers sand platypus pins.
