It's not yet clear what role 40-year-old Foster will play in the upcoming four-episode Gilmore Girls comeback, but she's the first new face to be announced among the host of original cast members who have agreed to return, including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson, TVLine first reported.

On Wednesday, February 10, Us Weekly reported that Milo Ventimiglia would also be returning to the show, bringing back his character, Jess Mariano, Rory Gilmore's bad-boy boyfriend.

Another of Rory's suitors, her Yale boyfriend, Matt Czuchry (a.k.a. Logan), will also appear in the reboot.

It is not yet known if Jared Padalecki (who played another love of Rory’s life, Dean) will appear in the four new 90-minute episodes.
