Adele: I Wrote a “F–k You” Song to My Ex to “Let Him Know I’m Over It”

Adele

Never mind, she's found someone better than you. Adele shared in a new interview with The Guardian that she wrote a massive "f–k you" song on her new album, 25, intended for the same ex-boyfriend who inspired her smash record 21

During the interview, Adele, 27, previewed her wildly anticipated new album, including a track called "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)." The song, which is described as a revenge tune, is comparable to Beyonce's "Irreplaceable," the Guardian writer, Tom Lamont, dished in his piece. It includes lyrics like: "Send my love to your new love-HUH-er / Treat her better."

"This is my f–k-you song," Adele told the Guardian of the track, alluding to her first love. Before she turned 21, the British beauty was dumped by her infamous ex, who's inspired many of her most popular songs, including "Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain."

"It sounds obvious, but I think you only learn to love again when you fall in love again," she noted to the Guardian. "I’m in that place. My love is deep and true with my man, and that puts me in a position where I can finally reach out a hand to the ex. Let him know I’m over it."

Adele has indeed found love again in none other than her "man" and partner, Simon Konecki, and their 3-year-old son, Angelo. Contrary to reports that she and Konecki have been on the brink of a split, Adele told the paper with a sigh that they are still together. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. And very happy."

According to the singer-songwriter, Konecki was supportive of another track called "I Miss You," which simply repeats the lyrics: "I miss you / I miss you / I miss you / I miss you."

"My man is loyal," Adele said of Konecki. “My man is strong. So we spoke early on, and he said, ‘Your writing isn’t anything to do with me.’ He’s fine with it. And it takes a strong man, I think, to be like that.”
