Justin Long and Amanda Seyfried are taking their puppy love public! The new couple — Us Weekly broke the news that they were dating earlier this month — stepped out in L.A. together on Thursday, Aug. 22, and from the looks of their smiles, the budding romance is beginning to blossom.
Casually clad in shorts and an oversized black T-shirt, the 27-year-old Lovelace actress sipped on an iced coffee while her new boyfriend, 35, walked her adorable Australian shepherd, Finn. The two then headed to a nearby park, where they relaxed on a blanket with pals and let Finn play with some fellow canine companions.
"Justin is super private about his relationships, [so] I'm not positive how they exactly met, but they've known each other for awhile, when they were seeing other people," a source told Us of the couple. "They recently started hanging out more, going on date-like activities. They're both busy…but they're seeing where it goes."
So far, at least, it seems to be going well. An eyewitness at a July 30 event for Seyfried's Lovelace premiere told Us that Long never left the star's side.
"Justin came alone and stayed close to Amanda all night," the onlooker said. "They weren't making out or anything like that, but they were just inseparable during the event. He hung out when she talked with others."
Prior to hooking up with Long, Seyfried was linked to Dexter actor Desmond Harrington. She also had a three-year relationship with Dominic Cooper, her costar in Mamma Mia. Long, meanwhile, was linked to Kate Mara last summer and dated Drew Barrymore on-and-off between 2007 and 2010.
