OMG, indeed! Amber Rose revealed her middle school portrait in a crazy Throwback Thursday Instagram post on February 4, and she’s barely recognizable in the pic.
“#TBT Muva at 12,” the model, 32, captioned the cheesy school photo. “Sidebar … I was 5’9.”
In the snap, young Rose wears an Olympic gold USA T-shirt and a thin necklace. And she actually has lots of hair! While Rose is well-known now for her platinum blonde pixie, her tresses back then were styled in a wavy bob with bangs. She even sports a big grin.
Not all memories from middle school were fond for Rose, who grew up in South Philadelphia. Wiz Khalifa‘s estranged wife recalled an incident from her tween years when she was sexually assaulted.
“This boy stuck his hand all the way up my skirt. I was sitting on the edge of the stage in the auditorium, and he sat down next to me and put his hand up my skirt,” she told MTV in December. “I went to the principal, and I told her that I felt extremely violated. I couldn’t believe that he had touched me like that. And she blamed me. She said, ‘You shouldn’t even be wearing a skirt like that. Obviously, in the seventh grade, my skirt was not that short — but even if it was, that didn’t give him the right to shove his hand up my skirt.”
“I grew up in a very poor neighborhood,” Rose added, “and went to a very poor school, and she made me feel like I didn’t matter.”
