Aubrey O’Day Shared Cryptic Tweet Before Donald Trump Won Election: ‘My Story I Didn’t Tell Is Worth Millions Now’

Looks like someone’s got a secret. Aubrey O’Day took to Twitter on Tuesday, November 8, to share a cryptic message hours before her former Celebrity Apprentice boss Donald Trump won this year’s presidential election.

The vocal Hillary Clinton supporter, 32 — who appeared on season 5 of Trump’s NBC reality series in 2012 — spoke out via social media on Tuesday night, expressing her disappointment in those who voted for the business mogul.

“I’m embarrassed to be an American,” the former Danity Kane singer wrote, to which one of her followers fired back: “really? But you was on trump show!!! Why are you mad that the checks stopped coming!”

Seemingly unbothered by the criticism, O’Day responded: “No. my story I didn’t tell is worth millions now 😉 … this doesn’t hurt me, it hurts America.”

Details of the reality star’s “story” remain unknown. However, O’Day once suggested that women were treated unfairly behind the scenes of Celebrity Apprentice.

During a 2012 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Making the Band alum was asked if women were discriminated against on the show, given the fact that there had only been one female winner until that point.

“Oh, God, how do I get around answering this the safe way?” O’Day, who was the second runner-up to Arsenio Hall and Clay Aiken, hesitantly replied. “I think that we have a long way to go before women are respected in business the way that they should be, and that is across the board.”

Following the nail-biting election on Wednesday, November 9, the “Damaged” songstress blasted the United States for electing Trump into power. “I’m heartbroken. Every beautiful piece of progression that our country could have moved toward is now gone,” she wrote. “You can be a lying, abusive piece of trash that is personally and publicly racist, sexist & homophobic and run our country.”

O’Day added: “I don’t feel there is any value to being a smart, ambitious successful woman anymore. You get nowhere. This country is a joke.”

Trump, who made a lot of controversial statements during the course of his campaign, was fired by NBC from his role on Celebrity Apprentice after he made inappropriate comments about Mexican immigrants.

The show is now hosted by another celeb-turned-politician: Arnold Schwarzenegger. The reboot, set in Los Angeles instead of New York City, will return on January 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
