‘Bachelor’ Creator Mike Fleiss Reacts to Juan Pablo Galavis’ Interest in JoJo Fletcher’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season

Sounds good to him! Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss reacted to Us Weekly‘s story about season 18 lead Juan Pablo Galavis wanting to join JoJo Fletcher‘s Bachelorette season on Wednesday, March 16.

The conversation started on Monday, March 14, moments after it was revealed that Texas native Fletcher was replacing Caila Quinn as the Bachelorette. A hard-crushing Galavis, 34, took to his Twitter and joked, “I MIGHT have to sign up AGAIN…”

The Venezuelan hunk first appeared on Desiree Hartsock‘s season of the show back in 2013, but was ousted midway through the series. Ultimately, America fell head over heels for the single dad, and he stepped into the role of the Bachelor for the 18th season in 2014.

Galavis, however, wound up becoming one of the most controversial and notorious Bachelors of all time. As fans recall, the single dad rounded out his season by infamously whispering to his runner-up, Clare Crawley: “I love f–king you, but I don’t know you.”

He then went on to choose Nikki Ferrell, but he refused to propose or even tell her that he loved her in the finale. After the show aired, the couple tried to make it work, even appearing on VH1’s Couples’ Therapy, but their relationship was irrevocably broken. They split in October 2014, and the Kansas City–based nurse eventually found love with her longtime pal Tyler Vanloo, who proposed this past January.

On the production front, Galavis didn’t exactly leave on good terms with the Bachelor crew. “Juan is so angry with the Bachelor production team,” a source told Us Weekly in March 2014. “He’s had major tension with them since right when he got back from filming.”

If Galavis truly wants to return to compete for Fletcher’s affection, the time is now. Fleiss revealed that Wednesday, March 16, was the first night of the upcoming season 12 — and the heroine has already shared her first kiss with one of her suitors.
