Lady in red! Bella Thorne matched her fiery hair to her dress while filming scenes for her upcoming series, Famous in Love.
The actress, 19, donned an off-the-shoulder gown with a sweetheart neckline on set of the Freeform drama, premiering April 18. The high-slitted number leaves a train trailing behind the booty-hugging dress. Though Thorne usually embraces more revealing looks when she hits the red carpet, the sophisticated frock transforms her into the show’s Paige Townsen, a college student who joins the cast of a blockbuster movie based on beloved book series Locked.
“Paige gets the overnight sensation, which is not what I’ve gotten and probably not what most people get,” the Florida-born star tells Us. “She starts off with zero confidence, but she does have confidence in her smarts and knowing that she can get the job done.”
Thorne even admits that she and her character have a very different approaches, not only when it comes to fashion. “This is probably the most different I’ve played in a character to myself,” Thorne says. “She definitely is very different from me, but I get where she’s coming from and where she’s headed. But we do look at things very differently.”
And despite Pagie’s glitzy appearance, Thorne, who split from Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey in October, claims her character has some less desirable experiences throughout season 1. “This glamorous, beautiful life that everyone sees, well, guess what? There’s a very dark side of that,” she continues. “You can’t have really great without really, really bad.”
