Change of tune! Bethenny Frankel appeared on Watch What Happens Live! on Tuesday, April 14, and walked back comments that she made about Dr. Terry Dubrow just hours earlier.
The Real Housewives of New York City star, 44, caught up with host Andy Cohen and WWHL guest Isaac Mizrahi about the supposed feud between herself and the husband of Real Housewives of Orange County's Heather Dubrow. The spat began on Monday, April 13, when Dr. Dubrow addressed Frankel's weight on WWHL.
Asked by Cohen, 46, which Housewife he would like to see on his plastic surgery show Botched, Dubrow said, "I would put on Bethenny and just feed her a little bit. She looks amazingly pretty natural, but she's a little skinny girl for me."
Frankel's initial reaction to the comments was strong as she took to Twitter to rant against the doctor, writing, "Who is dr dubrow & what happened? Some dumbs–t md talk abt what he doesn't know? Or @andy s–t stir pretending it was innocent? Or both?… So he's a 'rich, busy & sucessful' md using his wife's reality show to comment on me bc he's bored? Irrelevant? fame hungry? Needs $?"
When she made her own appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, however, Frankel had a different take on Dubrow's words.
"There's been a whole thing lately with skinny-shaming — Kelly Clarkson with body-shaming and then Giuliana Rancic…" she said. "I'm not gonna be like, 'Oh god, people think I'm skinny, woe is me! Why me? Why me?' I'm just not ready to get on that bandwagon."
"You know what, he didn't mean it," Frankel added. "It's a joke. Everyone is very, very sensitive and I think that people who are overweight have a reason to be sensitive about it. It's more sensitive. I'm not gonna complain. I am thin, I have a brand called Skinnygirl, and it's okay."
