Do you think they drank lemonade? Beyoncé stole the spotlight at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday, June 6, when she was honored with the Fashion Icon Award — but it wasn’t the award that caught our attention, it was the fact she was celebrating it in the same room as both Jay Z and Rachel Roy!
The event marked the first time that Queen Bey, 34, had been at the same public function as fashion designer Roy —believed by many to be the inspiration behind the singer’s now famous “Becky with the good hair” line — since the album dropped earlier this year. In fact it’s the first time they’ve been together since the trio’s infamous appearance at the 2014 Met Gala, alongside Bey’s sister Solange Knowles.
While Roy has denied being Becky, the designer, who wore a stunning, off-the-shoulder red gown to the high-profile event (her good hair slicked back into a ponytail), was evidently eager to keep a low profile, and after posing for a few photographs as she arrived at the event, she snuck in a side door. “She was one of the only celebs to not walk the carpet,” our insider tells Us Weekly.
Like Roy, Beyoncé and Jay Z made a very low-profile entrance to the ceremony, barely stopping for photographs and arriving after the official red carpet had closed.
But while they didn’t make a huge entrance, the “Formation” singer and her rapper hubby had quite the entourage — bringing daughter Blue Ivy, 4, and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, with them for the evening.
And Beyoncé’s little tot almost stole the show as she entered the venue wearing a cute little white jacket and bow in her hair, waving wildly to the fans.

The chart-topping singer acted just as professionally as her supercute daughter when it came to collecting her award, showing no hint of drama despite the fact that she, Roy and Jay Z were all under the same roof.
Dedicating the award to her mother, her grandma and her uncle, Beyoncé said it was her mom, Tina, who had inspired her love of fashion.
“Thank you for showing me that having a presence is far more than the clothes you wear and your physical beauty,” she said.
