The Brown family is still hoping for a miracle. As Bobbi Kristina Brown still remains in a coma, her first cousin Jerod Brown gave an update on her condition via Facebook on Thursday, Feb. 5.
“Hey y’all, a few of you all have been messaging me, commenting under photos about her condition,” Brown, 21, wrote. “Though it seems the odds are against her, though doctors don’t see any hope for change, though we might want to play detective and find out how she got there, though it looks impossible for her to stand again.”
“STILL PRAY FOR BK #StillPrayForBK,” he continued. “Campaign starts NOW! Bobbi Kristina Houston Gordon.” (Jerod’s mom is Bobby’s sister Bethy.)
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter has been hospitalized since being found unconscious and facedown in her bathtub in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Jan. 31. Bobby Brown has since been by her side at Emory University Hospital. On Thursday, Feb. 5, he gave his own update on the dire situation while getting some fresh air outside the facility.
“[She’s] good,” he told Access Hollywood at the time. “[We’re] praying.”
Thursday also happened to be Brown’s 46th birthday. Despite the turmoil surrounding the family, his nephew posted a sweet message to him on Facebook. “I know it’s been a rough one uncle B, but as a family we will get through it,” Jerod captioned a pic of the men. “Happy Birthday uncle Bobby. #PrayForBK #StillPrayForBK.”
Amid the tragic news, Brown is also dealing with other family matters. As previously reported, the R&B singer’s wife Alicia Etheredge is pregnant with the couple’s second child. And on Friday morning, two of his relatives got into a bloody hotel scuffle. The Atlanta Police Department told Us that his cousin Shayne Brown was “struck in the head with a bottle” by his sister Tina Brown.
“The motive of the fight is unclear at this time,” Atlanta police told Us in a statement. “Mr. Shayne Brown received lacerations to his head. A police report is being generated.”
