The past week been an emotional rollercoaster for Bobbi Kristina, Whithey Houston's only daughter with ex-husband Bobby Brown.

On Friday, the 18-year-old surfaced for the first time since her mother was found dead in her Beverly Hills hotel room on Feb. 11. Ahead of the 1,500-guest event at the New Hope Baptist Church the following afternoon, the family held a private viewing at the Wingham Funeral Home in Newark, NJ.

During the services, where speeches and performances were given by Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys, Clive Davis, Tyler Perry, Ray Watson and Stevie Wonder, Bobbi Kristina sat in the front row pew, close to her grandmother Cissy, while they both dabbed their eyes with tissues.

Absent from her right side: her dad, who, although was granted a seat at the ceremony, abruptly left when he showed up with nine other people, demanding they all get front row seats.

On the day of her mother's death, Houston's grieving daughter was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for stress. But Brown, 43, ensures that his daughter is being strong.

"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," he told ABC News in a new statement late Tuesday. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."
