Bobby Brown Claims Nick Gordon Isn’t Explaining What Happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown in New Statement

Bobby Brown
WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 24: Singer Bobby Brown attend 'The BET Honors' 2015 at Warner Theatre on January 24, 2015 in Washington, DC.

UPDATE: Nick Gordon’s lawyers have released a new statement on his behalf. “Mr. Brown is not law enforcement. However, in response to requests from law enforcement, Mr. Gordon and others have made statements,” Randall Kessler and Joe Habachy tell Us in a statement. “All Mr. Gordon wants from Mr. Brown is permission to see Bobbi Kristina. And again, Mr. Gordon is willing to meet privately with Mr. Brown to discuss this.”

The Brown family believes that Nick Gordon is holding back information. In a new statement released by Bobby Brown’s lawyer on Sunday, Feb. 22, the R&B singer claims that Gordon has yet to explain what happened to his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown before her hospitalization.

“Due to Mr. Gordon’s failure to place in tangible form his understanding of the events that lead to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina, there is no reason for any additional discussion with him. It appears that Mr. Gordon did not want his understanding of the facts to be subject to the truthful examination of various experts or Bobby Brown himself,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC told Us Weekly in a statement.

“Mr. Gordon has every right to remain silent and not share his version of the events with Bobby Brown. We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe,” the statement continued. “At least not desperate enough to inform Bobby Brown, in writing, what happened to Bobbi Kristina.”

Bobby Brown added: “We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers.”

Brown and the late Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 21, has been hospitalized in a medically induced coma now for 23 days since first being found by Gordon facedown in her Atlanta bathtub. Gordon, 19, tweeted on Feb. 21 that he wants to visit his longtime love, but claimed that the Brown family has kept him from doing so. Brown’s lawyer has since slammed his allegation.

“To address the continued and never ending media requests for comment about Mr. Gordon’s requests to visit Bobbi Kristina, let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit,” Christopher Brown said in a statement to Us on Saturday, Feb. 21. “We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation.”
