Working together, in love. Brad Pitt opened up about his relationship with wife, Angelina Jolie, and how much he loved working with her on their upcoming film By the Sea on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
“It’s surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife,” Pitt, 51, told V Magazine of working with Jolie, 40. “She’s decisive, incredibly intuitive, and might I say sexy at her post. I trust her with my life.”
In the romantic drama — which Jolie wrote, directed and stars in alongside Pitt — the couple play spouses from the mid-1970s traveling Paris together.
“At the end of the day, we get to be parents, greeting our lovely, crazy children and talking about their day, making sure they brush their teeth,” the actor revealed.
It was a family affair during the film’s production, with the couple’s children — Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 9, and twins Knox and and Vivienne, 7 — helping their famous parents on set, and even playing pranks on one another.
“We can experiment and play and it’s oddly a safer environment than any set I’ve been on before,” Pitt said in a recent featurette. “So we let loose!”
The Oscar-winning actress also opened up about how much she enjoyed writing the film, saying, “I wrote with a certain kind of freedom.”
The A-list couple first worked together and met on the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith together.
By the Sea hits theaters on Nov. 13.
