Silence is golden? Bristol Palin posted a cryptic quote on Instagram on Wednesday, February 24, a day after her ex-fiancé Levi Johnston revealed he won their seven-year custody battle over their son, Tripp.
“Always be careful of what you hear about a woman. Rumours either come from a man that can’t have her or a woman who can’t compete with her,” Palin’s Instagram post reads. On Tuesday, Sarah Palin’s daughter also shared a less mysterious quote by Jane Blaustone: “The best security blanket a child can have is parents who respect each other.”

“Just thinking out loud this morning,” she added in the caption.
Back in 2009, Johnston alleged that Bristol and her family wouldn’t allow him to see their son, Tripp. After filing docs against his high school sweetheart, the couple agreed that Johnston could see Tripp two days a week, but the court never finalized their agreement. The case was dismissed due to inactivity in 2012, and in 2013, Johnston filed a petition for equal custody.
"I'm so happy to have my son in my life, and to put all of this back in forth in the courts behind me,” Johnston wrote on Facebook on Tuesday, February 23. “It might have taken me 7 years and cost me around $100,000 in lawyer fees, spread out among 3 different lawyers, as well as a lot of patience, but it was all worth it."
According to Johnston, who has since deleted the post, the two are now “successfully co-parenting.”
Johnston is also the dad of daughters Breeze, 3, and Indy, 13 months, with wife Sunny Oglesby. Bristol recently welcomed a daughter named Sailor. She has yet to publicly confirm that Sailor’s dad is her ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer, but Meyer has claimed paternity and is seeking joint custody.
