Not happening. Bryce Dallas Howard told Collider on Tuesday, Oct. 20, that her character Claire in Jurassic World would not be wearing heels for the blockbuster’s sequel.

Fans of the film took notice of Claire’s heels and how they stood out while she trekked through the jungle when the first movie came out this summer.

“I was like, of course it’s illogical for her to be in heels in the jungle,” Howard, 34, said. “She never intended to go in the jungle. No, Claire never thought she was going to end up traipsing through the jungle, let alone outrunning a T. rex.”

The actress — daughter of director Ron Howard — said she got the official “no heels” message from the film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, via text.

“The way that Colin told me that the sequel was happening, like when it got greenlit and I was going to be in it, he texted me ‘#NoHeels2018,’” she said.
