Has Caroline Manzo Spoken to Teresa Giudice at All Since She Went to Prison?

Mama Manzo getting down to business as usual. Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo tells Us Weekly that she hasn’t spoken to fellow Bravo star Teresa Giudice since her incarceration in January. Giudice, who checked into the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Connecticut, nearly 11 months ago, was released early Wednesday, December 23.

But Manzo tells Us that they’ve had no contact whatsoever in over a year. “No, no, no, no, nope,” the Manzo’d With Children star told Us earlier this month. “You saw the way we left it. And she’s happy with that. I’m happy with that and we’re gonna leave it at that.”

The Giudices and Manzos were once friends, but their relationship memorably went downhill in season 4 of RHONJ, which culminated with an epic confrontation between Tre and Caroline. Following the debacle, Manzo expressed her opinions about Joe and Teresa being sentenced to prison last October.

“I’m blown away. I’m blown away by the whole thing,” Manzo said at the time on Watch What Happens Live. “It’s so much bigger than Housewives, it’s so much bigger than Bravo. . . . It’s just life-changing for these two people and their children.”

The Manzo family matriarch’s only current Jersey Housewives connection remaining is Melissa Gorga, who is Teresa’s sister-in-law. “Well, I know her, she’s an acquaintance,” Manzo told Us of the RHONJ cast member. “You know the only one I really see all the time is Jacqueline [Laurita],” she said of her sister-in-law and former RHONJ costar.

“I’m different from them,” Manzo, who was promoting her family’s favorite wine, Josh Cellars, added of the current RHONJ cast. “And I don’t have anything in common. Just in life in general, we’re at different stages. I’m much older than them. It’s a different way of life.”

She does, however, have some advice for the incoming freshman class of the Real Housewives of Potomac and the Real Housewives of Dallas — sort of. “No matter what you tell them . . . it’s kind of like a baptism by fire thing,” Manzo mused. “And you learn real fast whether you can weather the storm or not. To each his own.”

The busy mom of three kids, Lauren, Albie and Christopher, also shared some tips for families celebrating the holidays this year.

“It’s just nice to sit down,” she told Us. “No matter what, a lot of people hurt themselves on the holidays by letting their minds get the best of them. Just have a good time and just enjoy it and don’t stress out that this isn’t perfect. It’s never going to be perfect. it’s never going to be right. And just enjoy the moment and enjoy the time. Life’s too short to worry about the silly things.”
