Chad Michael Murray and Kenzie Dalton's seven-year engagement has come to an end, but sadly, not with a wedding. The 32-year-old actor's rep confirms to Us Weekly that the longtime couple has split.
"Chad Michael Murray and Kenzie Dalton quietly parted ways earlier in the year," his rep told Us in a statement Friday, Sept. 20. "Please respect their privacy at this time."
Murray and Dalton, 25, met on the set of One Tree Hill, where Murray starred as Lucas Scott and Dalton played a cheerleader extra. They became engaged in 2006, when Dalton was a senior in high school.
Murray was previously married to One Tree Hill costar Sophia Bush, who played Brooke Davis on the CW drama series. The two wed in April 2005 after almost two years of dating. Five months after the ceremony, Bush filed to have the marriage annulled, but was instead granted a divorce.
During an interview with Us in July 2012, Murray made it sound like he was still head over heels in love with Dalton. "She is a little stunner," he told Us of his fiancee. "She is a sweetheart. She is my best friend and we have been together a long time."
