While the rest of Hollywood was hitting one pre-Oscars bash after another, Christina Applegate and longtime love Martyn LeNoble kicked back at home Feb. 23 — and got married! As revealed on Academy Awards Sunday, the Up All Night actress, 41, wed the Porno for Pyros rocker, 43, in an extremely intimate ceremony held in the living room of their Los Angeles home.
Engaged to LeNoble since Valentine's Day 2010, the Married With Children alum donned a Maria Lucia Hohan gown. "It was a long hippie dress," a source tells Us Weekly. "Very Christina." The twosome exchanged vows in front of just six guests — including daughter Sadie Grace, 2.
The Emmy-nominated star (who quit Up All Night earlier this month) has credited LeNoble for being her rock during a 2008 breast cancer battle. "He came around at a time when there was a lot of loss in my life on many levels, so he's been a really incredible help," Applegate has said.
Appropriately enough given their no-frills nuptials, Applegate skipped a honeymoon and got right back to work after the wedding weekend — heading down to Atlanta to begin work on Anchorman: The Legend Continues. The blonde comedy star happily received plenty of congratulatory toasts during a Wednesday, Feb. 26 meal at the eatery TWO Urban Licks with costars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and James Marsden, among others.
Noshing on white tuna and sipping red wine, Applegate (reprising her role in the newsroom comedy as Veronica Corningstone) joked to her pals that she "doesn't eat anything that walks or flies," an observer tells Us Weekly.
