Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid have ended their engagement, 17 months after the Snow Patrol guitarist proposed, Us Weekly confirms. The pair, who got engaged in June 2014 after six months of dating, called it quits shortly before Thanksgiving, according to Hollywood Life.
McDaid, 39, proposed to the Friends star, 51, in June 2014, at a birthday party for Cox’s daughter, Coco, now 11, held at BFF Jennifer Aniston’s L.A. home. At the time, the rocker asked Coco’s permission to marry her mom.
“He gave her a little diamond ring and got on his knee,” the Cougar Town alum told Jimmy Kimmel in September 2014. “And she said, ‘Great! I’m going to camp tomorrow. Let’s do it right now!'”

The pair was last photographed together in August. In September, Cox posted a sweet selfie with McDaid kissing her head on Twitter. It would have been the first marriage for McDaid and the second for Cox, who divorced Coco’s father, David Arquette, after 13 years of marriage in 2013.
