UPDATE: Helen tweeted an update about the search for her husband late Thursday, December 31.
Boat marks, foot prints & dog prints were found today. No other sign of #CraigStrickland, but this cuts the amount of search area by 50%.

Sorry for any confusion. The boat marks, footprints, and paw prints were from Sunday when #CraigStrickland & Chase first entered the water.

Helen Strickland, the wife of country singer Craig Strickland, is doing her best to stay hopeful as authorities continue to search for her husband, who went missing during a duck hunting trip over the weekend. Late Wednesday, December 30, the former pageant queen took to Twitter and Instagram to share a message of faith.
"While we hurt and experience the worst pain of our lives, we sometimes believe that God might not be there with us listening when we cry out to Him," she wrote. "But then, when we least expect it, He speaks and comforts us in such beautiful ways."
She went on to explain that she'd received "one of those beautiful blessings" from a family friend. Unable to sleep, the friend "got up and started cleaning out a closet and found a Bible with Craig Strickland's name inside. She spent the next 45 minutes searching scripture that Craig has highlighted."
The friend then shared the passages with Craig's loved ones. "These bible verses, which spoke to Craig, remind us of God's intentions for our lives," Helen wrote. "No matter the outcome of this circumstance, the truth of God's word can comfort and give strength to each of us. He loves you and I, and desires good for our lives. Therefore, every difficult situation CAN be used for good."
She continued: "I am so thankful God allowed the holy spirit to lead our friend to Craig's Bible . . . Thank you Craig Michael for sharing with us the wisdom that the Lord shared with you. And thank you Lord for giving us the opportunity to share Your truth through Craig's legacy."
As previously reported, the Backroad Anthem singer and his friend Chase Morland were reported missing after they failed to return home from an excursion at Kaw Lake in Oklahoma. Morland was found dead on Monday, December 28, but Craig remains missing.
