Mom! Dakota Johnson is officially fed up with her mother Melanie Griffith not wanting to watch her raunchy blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey. During a red carpet interview with Lara Spencer during ABC’s pre-show for the 87th Academy Awards, the newcomer snapped at her mom.
“She’s a really good actress,” Griffith told Spencer, when asked about her daughter’s BDSM movie. “I don’t need to see [Fifty Shades] to know how good she is.”
Johnson, 25, then snapped “Alright! You don’t have to see it,” before turning her face away from the camera and adding, “Jesus Christ.”
Spencer did her best to ease the tension, explaining why she understands her mother wouldn’t want to watch the film (featuring plenty of intense, full-frontal nude sex scenes) but Johnson wouldn’t let it go.
“It’s a movie. She knows that,” she responded, before adding, “I’m like, ‘You can see it!’ and she’s just like, ‘No.’”
