All My Children star David Canary has died at age 77. The actor, who played Adam Chandler on the hit soap opera from 1984 to 2011 and again in 2013, passed away of natural causes, the Wilton Bulletin reports.
Canary won five Daytime Emmys for his role on the ABC soap opera, and also appeared on hit TV shows, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Touched by an Angel, Law & Order, and Bonanza.
The actor got his first break in 1965 on the hit show Peyton Place, playing Russ Gehring.
In his free time, Canary was an active member of the Wilton, Conn., community where he lived. He and his wife, Maureen, opened the Wilton Education Foundation’s 1997 spelling bee and volunteered with several local charities.
Canary is survived by his wife, Maureen, and children, Christopher and Kathryn.
