The saga continues! Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon are still feuding on Twitter over politics this week, and the back-and-forth has been going on since March.

Messing, who was strongly supporting Hillary Clinton, and Sarandon, who was a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter, have been butting heads since Messing, 48, called out Sarandon, 70, for suggesting in an interview that Donald Trump would make a better president than Clinton. (She later backtracked on the comment.)

It heated up again when Messing rehashed the issue in a new Twitter rant on November 16, writing, “She encouraged ppl to vote for Trump over HRC on a news interview. Said she was more ‘dangerous.’ She needs to be held accountable.”

The Will & Grace alum also chimed in with a strong opinion when Sarandon tried to encourage a dialogue with the president-elect’s supporters. Sarandon said, “Reach out in dialogue to those who voted 4 [Trump]. We can’t afford a blanket judgment of them. We need allies in that camp.”

Messing lashed out and wrote, “JESUS CHRIST. NOW she wants to give racist, islamophobic, homophobic, sexist, mysogynists a chance! ‘Pure’ 4 Bernie. F–K everyone else.”

Instead of fighting back, the Thelma and Louise actress has been frequently tweeting Messing about the Dakota Access pipeline controversy and asking her to post about it on social media in an effort to stop its construction.

“Reaching out in hopes u’ll help stop DA Pipeline. UN called protestor treatment inhumane & they need ur voice now,” she wrote in one tweet. She added in another, “Hope u might add DA Pipeline. Outreach to ur followers wld b effective coming frm u. Female water protectors abused.”

And she didn’t stop there: “I know Debra cares about a lot and hope she will care about #NoDAPL as well since Standing Rock needs her voice now more than ever.”
