Will she sing at their wedding? Dolly Parton is elated that her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, is back together with Liam Hemsworth.
“I was really happy to hear that they had gotten back together because I know that seemed to be a big heartache for both of them when that [split] happened,” Parton, 70, recently told Entertainment Tonight. “That’s good that they’re back together.”
The country icon also had only good things to say about Cyrus, 23. “She’s great. She’s a talent. She’s deep. She’s smart and sensitive,” Parton said. “And she’s gone through a lot. She’s been put through a lot. She’s put herself through a lot.”
Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January that Cyrus and the Aussie actor, 26, were back together. The couple previously called off their engagement in 2013.
“Miley and Liam are picking up right where they left off,” a source told Us at the time. A second added, “He’s never met anyone quite like her who has that hold on him.”
Cyrus has already bought a home for the twosome, too. A source revealed to Us that she dropped $2.5 million on a new Malibu pad, which Hemsworth will move into when he’s ready.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer “has been cooking and cleaning for Liam, waiting on him hand and foot,” another insider noted. “She wants to make sure she keeps him.”
