It’s been rough in the Robertson household this week. Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson recently suffered a seizure while hunting, Us Weekly can confirm.
“Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure. Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes,” a rep for the A&E star tells Us in a statement.
“Jep was rushed to the hospital and received immediate treatment. He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation, and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure,” the statement continues. “Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
Robertson, 36, spoke out about the health scare himself via Twitter on Saturday, Oct. 25. “Well, I about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now,” he wrote. “Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive.”
Robertson, Willie Robertson’s younger brother, has appeared on Duck Dynasty with his family since 2012. He recently supported his niece, Sadie Robertson, during her Dancing With the Stars performance on Oct. 6.
