Into the court — and the country! Emily Blunt received her U.S. citizenship alongside Matthew McConaughey's wife, Camila Alves, both partaking in the same VIP legal oath ceremony held at a U.S. courthouse this week in L.A.
British native Blunt, 32, clasped her husband John Krasinski's hand as they left the courthouse on Tuesday, Aug. 4. The stars were joined by the McConaughey-Alves brood, including kids Levi, 7, Vida, 5, and Livingston, 2.
Blunt dressed in a pastel, sleeved button-down dress and sandals, while her husband coordinated in slacks and a lilac dress shirt.
Alves, 33, looked stylish in white jeans and a matching T-shirt paired with a breezy leopard print overlay. McConaughey held their eldest son's hand while his wife walked alongside Blunt with the youngest two.
McConaughey marked his wife's big day this week by sharing a family photo via Twitter. "Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today," the Oscar winner wrote. "Another fellow and great American."
Alves, a Brazilian native, also took to Twitter to celebrate her. "Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country," she wrote. "#newuscitizen." The model and McConaughey married in 2012, while Blunt and Office actor Krasinski wed in 2010.

Krasinski and Blunt have had quite the eventful (and celebratory!) week. A day after she gained her U.S. citizenship, the Into the Woods actress and her hubby of five years watched their fellow celebrity pals Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux tie the knot in a top-secret ceremony at the stars' $21 million Bel Air mansion in L.A.
Other A-listers in attendance were Ellen DeGeneres, Lisa Kudrow, Lake Bell, Chelsea Handler, Howard and Beth Stern, and more.
