These Disney darlings are getting married! The Originals star Leah Pipes is engaged to her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, actor AJ Trauth, she exclusively reveals to Us Weekly.

"He proposed on Christmas Day," Pipes tells Us. "There was a wrapped ring box under the tree… [and] it was empty," she recalls of the romantic moment when her fiance proposed. "He'd been holding the ring behind his back and asked me to marry him. It was the best moment of my life!"

Trauth, 27, who played "Twitty" on Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003, bent down on one knee with a classic princess-cut diamond in a platinum band setting. "It's so understated and elegant," Pipes, 25, gushes of her engagement bling. "It's such a wonderful symbol of our love… and it will never go out of style!" she says.

"We've known each other since we were teenagers," the star of the Disney Channel's 2004 flick Pixel Perfect tells Us of her relationship with Trauth. "We both grew up in the entertainment industry. He was actually very close to starring with me in the first movie I did."

While the two had known each other for many years, their platonic relationship turned romantic in 2011: "I'm so glad we spent years getting to know each other before dating," the Sorority Row star says. "He's my best friend."

The actress, who currently plays Camille on CW's spinoff series of the Vampire Diaries, tells Us she's been busy with the show and hopes to begin planning her big day soon: "I'm hoping to get married in the same church my parents were married," the L.A. native says. "Some friends and family are pushing for a destination wedding in Hawaii, which also sounds very fun!"
