Rather than hide away from the public, the plucky teen is maintaining a presence on social media, and as she spent the last few hours with her mom at home on Sunday, Jan. 4, Gia was appreciating the love and support she was receiving via Twitter.

She spent the evening retweeting positive posts from pals like her 3KT bandmate Cristianna Cardinale, who shared a photo of Gia and Teresa with the caption, "The 2 strongest girls I know and nothing's gonna change that."

"Support system is unreal," Gia wrote in her own tweet later on Sunday night, accompanied by a smiling face emoji and a growing heart, "#soblessed."

It's going to be a tough time for the Giudice children as their parents serve jail time on charges of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, in two consecutive sentences.

While Teresa completes her time behind bars at the Danbury, Connecticut prison facility, Gia will remain home with dad Joe Giudice, who is allowed to serve his 41-month sentence after Teresa's so he can care for their daughters Gia, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5.

But despite it being a difficult time for the four Giudice girls, Gia has shown impressive resilience as her mom's jail time approaches.

On New Year's Eve, she posted a picture alongside her mom with the caption, "happy New Years with my best friend!! @Teresa_Giudice."

"My family is probably one of the strongest families I know, so we’ll get through this," brave Gia told Access Hollywood in a recent interview. "It’s gonna be fine. And when it’s over, we’re gonna be better than ever."
