No warning sign here! Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez appeared happier than ever together just days before filing for divorce. The now-estranged couple were seen taking their 2-year-old son, Maceo, to a Halloween party in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The Extant actress and Martinez, both 49, smiled during the family outing. Berry dressed casually in sweatpants and a loose-fitting top as the toddler wore an adorable bumblebee costume.
Berry and Martinez — they met while making the 2012 thriller Dark Tides — welcomed their baby boy in October 2013 and wed in an intimate France ceremony nine months later. They confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday that they are ending their two-year marriage.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son,” the pair told Us in a statement. “We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children’s privacy, as we go through this difficult period.”
As previously reported, Berry filed for divorce on Tuesday under the alias Hal Maria and cited irreconcilable differences. Martinez countered with his own divorce documents and requested joint custody of their son.
This will be Berry’s third divorce. She was married to former baseball pro David Justice from to 1993 to 1996, and ended her four-year marriage to R&B singer Eric Benet in 2005. She shares 7-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry.
