She’s got this! Canadian popstar Heather Russell debuted her first music video for her song “Got This Feeling” on Sept. 22.
Russell, 15, even got some star power to help her with her first video, with YouTube star Tyler Ward directing, and YouTube and Vine star Luke Korns starring in the video.
"I can’t believe my first video is out!” Russell gushed to Us Weekly. “It was so much fun to work with Tyler as he’s done some great videos on his own and he is a talented musician also."
In the video, Russell sings and plays keyboard as hunky Korns tries to win her over.
"This video's message is about just being yourself,” Russell explained. “Luke Korns plays a guy trying to get my attention by being all these different characters and things he thinks I would like, and in the end, there's only one thing that works: being yourself. It’s how I am and it’s what my music is about."
It’s clearly working. Russell has already made fans of Paula Abdul and Justin Bieber, having met her fellow Canadians over the summer. And she’s making more fans every day, as she’s currently on her first nationwide tour, The High School Nation tour, meeting 2,000 teenagers per day!
