Heidi Klum is hanging up her Halloween costume early.
After Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on the East Coast, the 39-year-old supermodel has decided to cancel her annual Halloween costume party.
“I hope you and your loved ones are safe after this devastating storm in the New York City area,” Klum said in a statement to ET Online. “For obvious reasons, I am canceling my Halloween party scheduled for tomorrow night.”
Klum’s 2012 Halloween bash was going to be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 at NYC’s Finale. The Project Runway host shared an exclusive first look with Us Weekly at her costume for this year, which was a golden ensemble channeling Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile.
But the single mother of four plans to throw another holiday-themed bash soon.
“I hope to postpone for the near future . . . maybe a very Haunted Christmas?” she said. “I hope everyone understands and stays safe.”
She also shared the news on Twitter, and shared a photo of herself bundled up outside on what appears an NYC street post-Sandy. “Hope you and your loved ones are safe after the storm,” she captioned the shot Tuesday. “Canceling my Halloween party . . . postponing to a haunted Christmas.”
