Ian Somerhalder sure knows how to make a girl feel special!
The Vampire Diaries actor, 33, once flew to Paris simply for a lunch date. “Flying across the ocean for one meal was pretty awesome,” Somerhalder tells the April issue of Glamour. “It paid off!”
(Though Somerhalder wouldn’t say who the lucky girl was, he was spotted sharing a romantic meal in the City of Lights with girlfriend and costar Nina Dobrev, 23, in May 2011.)
Despite his bad boy alter-ego on The CW, Somerhalder admits he’s much more chivalrous in real life. “If you are respectful and nice and charming to a woman, it’s a better approach,” the actor explains. “And I don’t know what women want. No one knows what women want!”
Perhaps Somerhalder is being too modest. “He always has a positive outlook and positive energy, and he’s always happy,” Dobrev told Us Weekly in 2011. “He is a glass-half-full kind of guy, not half-empty.”
