Iggy Azalea's had enough of scandals. And having weathered real-life cheating drama with fiancé Nick Young, she's putting a firm lid on any others.

Hitting back at reports that she was embroiled in a scandal with the IRS, having had a tax lien placed against her to the tune of nearly $400,000 of unpaid income taxes from 2014, the singer suggested the media was bored and desperate for more stories.

The "Fancy" singer argued via Twitter that the lien document had been reported out of context and that she's never had any intention of trying to cheat her way out of paying her fair share of taxes.

"The IRS gave the option to pay them monthly or lump sum. i picked monthly, who wouldnt?" she tweeted, adding that she'd made the deal two months previously.

"Its like writing 'iggy pays a mortgage on her house every month!' and trying to make it a story," she added. "Its not a story. lol."

Azalea went on to suggest the only reason anybody's interested in reporting the information is to try and make the "soap opera" of her scandal with Young play out longer.

"Peep the way when one thing happens media scrambles to keep adding on to the storyline, like a soap opera. #IggyNovela," the 25-year-old musician wrote.

"[The media] are trying to make it into something now because they were hoping some more nick mess would happen and now that it hasnt and its getting boring they need 2 create something else," Azalea continued. "Its super corny, but i know the way it works this time around and its expected."

As Us Weekly reported previously, Azalea and Young zoomed into the headlines after Young's L.A. Lakers teammate D'Angelo Russell released a video in which he appears to confess to cheating on the Australian rapper.

But talking on the red carpet of the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she was still wearing her $500,000 engagement ring, Azalea implied the wedding was still on.

"I really want to be her bridesmaid,” she told Entertainment Tonight of her good friend Demi Lovato. “I want us to like have a whole wedding thing together," she added.
