James Franco had the chance to hook up with Lindsay Lohan, but he had no interest in being romantically involved with the troubled Liz & Dick actress. While chatting with Howard Stern on the radio host's SiriusXM show March 25, the Spring Breakers actor was asked about the nature of his relationship with Lohan, 26.
"You turned down sex with Lindsay Lohan, didn't you?" Stern, 59, asked Franco. "Back then when she was a lot hotter?"
"Oh, gosh. Poor Lindsay," Franco replied. "I haven't talked to her in a while. . . We were friends."
The Oz the Great and Powerful starsaid he first met the Freaky Friday actress "through friends" when he was staying at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood. "My house in L.A. was being redone, so I did this thing where I just stayed at the hotel, and she had been living there for a couple years," Franco recalled.
Stern continued to grill Franco, asking the 34-year-old actor, "And you turned her down sexually?"
"I mean, I don't want to brag about it," the Pineapple Express star answered. "I don't know how that got out." Lohan — who has been arrested six times in less than 10 years — "was having issues even then, so you feel weird," Franco explained. "Honestly, she was a friend. I've met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don't want to do that."
When Stern asked Franco who he's seeing now, the actor demurred. "Let's say I'm dating," Franco said coyly. "I'm getting older. I would like a long-term relationship."
