James McNair has died at the age of 63. The comedian was involved in the same car crash that left 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan in critical condition in Cranbury, N.J., on Saturday, June 7, Us Weekly can confirm.

McNair and Morgan, 45, were involved in a six-vehicle accident on the N.J. turnpike at around 1 a.m. The two men were both traveling in an SUV, which overturned north near Exit 7A when it was hit by a tractor-trailer. At the time of the incident, authorities said three other passengers besides Morgan were in critical condition, and one was in fair condition.

McNair, known as "Uncle Jimmy Mack" to other comics, often wrote for Morgan. The Peekskill, N.Y. native also hosted The Original Uncle Jimmy Mack's Amateur Hour.

Hours before the accident, the friends were at Morgan's stand-up gig at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware. As for Morgan, his rep tells Us he's still in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. "He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware," the actor's rep said in a statement.

"His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care," the statement continued. "We don't anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available."
