Jay Mohr is apologizing — well, sort of — to Alyssa Milano after fat-shaming the Mistresses actress during a recent radio interview.
"She's stunning," the comedian tweeted on Thursday, Jan. 2. "I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have been taken as a joke. #fail"
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Suburgatory actor, 43, took a jab at the star's post-baby body weight after seeing her at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards gala in Las Vegas on Dec. 6, which he hosted.
"She was one of the presenters," he said of the gorgeous Milano, 41. "She's very tiny, in height…It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don't really give a s–t'…I read it on her gut." He continued: "Somebody sat in the director's chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, 'Jesus Christ.'"
Her response? "@jaymohr37 So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife," she wrote on Christmas Day, referring to the comedian's spouse Nikki Cox. Then, to her followers, she added, "You're all lovely. Thank you for your kind words. #Appreciative."
Milano welcomed son Milo in August 2011 with husband Dave Bugliari. Mohr and Cox married in 2006 and have a son Meredith, 2.
