More legal troubles are brewing for Jenelle Evans. The Teen Mom 2 star was arrested for allegedly assaulting ex-fiance Nathan Griffith’s new girlfriend on Thursday, Aug. 20, the Horry County Police Dept. in South Carolina confirms to Us Weekly.
Law enforcement said in a statement shared with Us that police arrived at the Teen Mom 2 star's home in Myrtle Beach a little after 2 p.m. Thursday. The 29-year-old victim told officers she was with her boyfriend to help him pick up some of his belongings that were still in the house, which used to be his residence. "She was assaulted by her boyfriend's ex, who threw a drinking glass at her head, causing injury," the statement revealed.
Police arrested the 23-year-old reality TV personality and charged her with third-degree assault.
Evans and Griffith ended their engagement for a second time recently, the mom of two confirmed to Entertainment Tonight on Aug. 4. The couple first split in March, after the two got into a fight and police were called. They reunited in June, she told Us Weekly exclusively at the time.
Her most recent prior arrest came in May when police charged her with domestic violence after she allegedly attacked Griffith at his house. She claimed that he tried to run her over with his car. She was also arrested in February for driving without a license. Evans has been arrested numerous other times in the past.
The former couple share son Kaiser, 13 months. She also has son Jace, 6, from a previous relationship. The little boy is currently in the custody of her mother, Barbara. The MTV star has been trying to regain custody, a battle that MTV’s cameras have been documenting for Teen Mom 2.
