Looking good, girl! Jennifer Aniston stepped out in New York City on Thursday, September 22, following ex-husband Brad Pitt’s recent split from Angelina Jolie.
The Cake actress, 47, was spotted arriving at her Greenwich Village apartment after flying from Los Angeles on a private jet. Aniston — sporting a smile and a golden tan — looked casual and comfortable in a pair of distressed jeans and a T-shirt paired with a black bomber jacket and a wide-brimmed hat.
The Friends alum’s name has been dominating headlines as her former spouse’s messy divorce from Jolie, 41, is playing out in the public eye. As fans are well aware, Pitt and the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress met on the 2004 set of their film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, when the Fight Club hunk, 52, was still married to Aniston.
After she discovered that her then-husband was cheating on her with his sexy costar, Aniston called it quits on their five-year marriage. Months later, Pitt and Jolie went public with their controversial romance.
“She’s being hounded so much that she’s leaving town,” a source told Us Weekly of Aniston’s decision to flee to the Big Apple.
Her husband, Justin Theroux, who posted on Instagram September 22 that he wrapped filming on season 3 of his HBO drama, The Leftovers, is also due in NYC soon to do press for his new film The Girl on the Train.

An insider told Us earlier this week that the Marley & Me star — who married Theroux, 45, in August 2015 — believes karma has something to do with the end of Jolie and Pitt’s two-year marriage and 14-year relationship.
“[Jennifer] always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” the source told Us, noting that she did believe Pitt loved the Oscar-winning actress. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
A second source told Us that while Aniston “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” she also “never wanted this for them or wished this on them.”
As previously reported, Jolie filed for divorce on Monday, September 19, citing irreconcilable differences. The humanitarian and actress is requesting sole physical custody of their kids. The divorce filings indicate that she requested the World War Z actor receive joint legal custody. She is not asking for spousal support.
