Meet them in the fields! Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin reunited in NYC over Easter weekend, and then boarded a private plane together on Sunday, April 5, out of the Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.
Insiders tell Us Weekly how the on-again couple spent their time together, starting with a romantic brunch date at storied NYC restaurant Tavern On the Green on Saturday.
“It was an affectionate and romantic date for Chris and Jen,” an eyewitness at the Central Park-adjacent restaurant tells Us. “They arrived separately, Jen first and then waited in her car for a little bit before moving into the restaurant with her bodyguard. Then Chris got there. They made it a quick lunch, she had a roast beef sandwich and he had eggs Benedict.”
According to the observer, the two “were whispering to each other and giggling.” After their meal, Lawrence changed her outfit and said she wanted to take a stroll through Strawberry Fields, Central Park’s 2.5 acre memorial to John Lennon. “They left holding hands,” the insider tells Us. “It seemed like the perfect Sunday and they were enjoying the weather.”
On Easter Sunday, the two boarded a plane together at the small airport in Jersey, where they were snapped headed into the terminal.
This is the first official sighting of Lawrence, 24, and Martin, 38, since January, when they hit Harry Styles‘ star-studded 21st birthday part in L.A. The stars took a break last October after four months of dating due to their “rocky” and “insane” schedules, a source close to Martin told Us at the time.
Meanwhile, the Coldplay frontman jetted off to Costa Careyes, Mexico last week with his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their two kids Apple and Moses.
“Gwyneth and Chris had a lot of one-on-one time while the kids were off playing with their friends,” a source told Us of the couple, who famously announced their “conscious uncoupling” after 10 years of marriage last March. “They seemed very comfortable and happy together. You wouldn’t know by looking at them that they aren’t together. They were very loving and friendly.”
