The Hunger Games star's low-key visit to the Kosair Children's Hospital was unannounced, but multiple heartwarming photos from her appearance surfaced on Twitter.
The Oscar winner dressed casually for the special outing in a loose cream button-down blouse and black skinny jeans, as she met with several families.

One moment from her Christmas Eve tour showed the Silver Linings Playbook star inside the hospital's Neonatal unit. There, Lawrence was photographed hovering with one hand over her heart, while gazing down at a newborn baby.

The star — who visited the same children's hospital last year, too — has invaluable experience working with kids. In a 2010 interview with the Los Angeles Times, the star revealed that she once served as an assistant nurse at a children's summer day camp run by her parents. "It's impossible to shock me or gross me out," the actress mused.
