Jennifer Lopez Enjoys Being Single, Understands What It’s Like to Feel “Undesirable”

No Casper Smart and no Ryan Guzman! Jennifer Lopez is still enjoying having herself all to herself. The “Booty” singer sat down with Us Weekly’s Brody Brown recently to discuss her new movie The Boy Next Door and her current relationship status. And as of now, she tells Us she has no “announcements to make” when it comes to her dating life.

“I’m single right now,” Lopez told Us after discussing her new flick. “I think being on my own has been really great for me. There was a time I was like, ‘Eh, I’m not going to deal with anybody, I just want to be on my own.’ And now, I’m getting back in the mix and stuff like that, but for right now, [I’m single].”

Although she’s not attached to anyone romantically in real life, Lopez, 45, could’ve fooled fans with her on-screen chemistry with costar Ryan Guzman in the thriller, in which she plays Claire, a newly divorced mother who falls into the arms of a troubled younger man who becomes obsessed with her after they are romantically involved.

“It’s always a little uncomfortable, but it’s part of the game,” Lopez, who shot down rumors she’s dating Guzman, 27, during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres earlier this week, told Us of their hot and heavy sex scene.

“It’s such an important moment because the whole movie is about that moment,” the single mom to twins Max and Emme, 6, adds. “It’s about the chemistry they experience. The passion he feels. It leaves such an imprint on him that it really drives him mad.”
