Casper Smart is a lucky man and he knows it. At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 10, the 25-year-old dancer had a good sense of humor about the reactions his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez's risque gown was garnering at the star-studded ceremony.
Lopez, 43, took the stage early in the evening with rapper Pitbull to introduce the nominees for Best Solo Performance, and the audience couldn't get enough of the singer's enviable physique.
"So I got the memo," she started out, in an obvious nod to her revealing black Anthony Vaccarello dress that showed the entire length of her right leg and the dress code memo CBS had sent out the previous week.
"Mami, you inspired the memo," Pitbull commented over cheers from the audience. Lopez famously made red-carpet history back in 2000 when she arrived in a barely-there green Versace number with a neckline that plunged to her navel.
The songstress even saved the day — and winner Adele's acceptance speech! — by curtly shooing away notorious prankster Vitalii Seduik from the stage when he attempted to crash the ceremony.
"It's such an honor to receive this award," the Ukranian TV personality managed to say into the mic before a stern Lopez shot him a dirty look and kicked him offstage.
But the celebrity vigilante didn't let the stunt ruin her night.
"Jennifer Lopez was really nice and in a great mood. She was excited about getting to make a joke about her outfit," an insider told Us Weekly of the memorable moment. "Casper was backstage with her. When they showed the reaction shots of Drake and Jay-Z [looking awestruck at Lopez's sexy outfit], Casper was cracking up like crazy! He thought it was hilarious."
Earlier in the evening, Lopez defended her risque fashion choice, telling E! News host Ryan Seacrest that she thought she was staying within the dress code, which had explicitly forbidden side-boob and "puffy parts."
"They said nothing about legs!" she told the talk show host. "I thought I was being such a good girl! A little shoulder and a little leg."
