Josh Duggar edits his cheating confession to remove his porn addiction -- more here

Josh Duggar came forward and admitted to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, on Thursday, Aug. 20, but it appears he may not be ready to admit his “secret addiction” to porn. Not long after posting the confession and apology on his family’s website, the former TLC star edited his post to remove some key phrases.

Duggar’s statement initially began: “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.”

However, the edited version of his lengthy confession now reads: “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife.”

Duggar, 27, also removed mention of his “actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old” and an extra line about Satan which initially read, “The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about.”

In May, Duggar admitted to inappropriately touching five young girls when he was a teen, including sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar.

In case you missed it, Duggar’s admission of infidelity comes after Gawker reported on Wednesday, Aug. 19, that he may have paid nearly $1,000 for two subscriptions to cheating website Ashley Madison.

According to Gawker, the dad of four, was allegedly looking to have extramarital affairs with someone open to “experimentation,” “gentleness,” willing to have a “bubble bath for 2,” and engage in “extended foreplay/touching,” among other acts. He also listed being turned on by those with “natural breasts” and who have a “secret love nest,” among other descriptions.

Following Duggar’s molestation scandal, TLC canceled the family’s widely popular reality series 19 Kids and Counting in July.

Duggar’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, also released a statement on Thursday, seeking prayers for their family and sharing with fans that their “hearts were broken” upon learning of their eldest son’s infidelity. Anna has yet to comment.
