Julia Roberts could not be happier about her best friend's wedding. The actress has remained close pals with her Ocean's Eleven costar George Clooney, and though she wasn't in attendance when the actor said "I do" to love Amal Alamuddin in Venice, Italy, last month, she's checked in with him on multiple occasions since then.
"We've spoken many times since he's gone from a bridegroom to a husband," the Oscar winner, 46, told Access Hollywood on Friday, Oct. 17, at the 2014 GLSEN Awards in L.A.
Asked what advice she had for the newlywed, Roberts — married since 2002 to Danny Moder, with whom she has three kids — joked, "Oh, yes. I'll be advising George Clooney on his marital life. I'll get right on that!"
Pressed for some actual wisdom, she told Access Hollywood, "Well, the only advice for that is finding your person — and he's found his person."
Indeed, he has — and Roberts is utterly thrilled for him. Back in May, the August: Osage County star gushed to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she thought the formerly eternal bachelor's engagement news was "sublime."
Though she noted at the time that she had yet to meet Clooney's fiancee, she had nothing but great things to say about the respected human rights attorney. "She is beautiful and smart, and he is happy," Roberts told DeGeneres of Alamuddin. "And that's what matters to me."
