If anyone knows how to be "America's Sweetheart," it's Julia Roberts. The seasoned actress gained popular appeal in hit films like Steel Magnolias, Notting Hill, and Erin Brockovich — and let's not forget she was even in a movie called America's Sweethearts. Now, she's weighing in on a new possible inductee to the "sweethearts" club — Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence. See more pics of her, here.
In a recent interview with MTV, Roberts, 46, was asked about Lawrence's chances as America's latest sweetheart.
"But she shoots flaming arrows!" the August: Osage County star exclaimed. "I mean, I think she's fabulous. She seems cooler than [a sweetheart]. Right, isn't she too cool to be?"
Roberts continued to joke with the reporter, asking, "How many of us are there now?" and saying she thinks her own membership card has been revoked.
Lawrence's popularity grows daily with the Hunger Games highly-anticipated sequel, Catching Fire, breaking box office records. She's also earning buzz for her new David O. Russell film, American Hustle, out next month. In 2012 Lawrence won the Best Actress Oscar for Russell's Silver Linings Playbook and had an endearing moment when she tripped up the stairs to receive the award.
