Once Brad Pitt's girl, always Brad Pitt's girl. Juliette Lewis shared a tribute to her former flame on Friday, Dec. 19, reflecting on her early '90s relationship with the star.
The August: Osage County actress, 41, shared a throwback photo of herself with Pitt via Instagram. She posted the cute picture in honor of the hunky actor's 51st birthday, which was Thursday, Dec. 18.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my old friend," Lewis wrote of Pitt. "Who taught me so much as a wee youngster.. And shaped alot of my musical taste early on."
"I first heard the Pixies, John Lee Hooker, Greg Allman, Nina Simone because of BP," she added of her Too Young to Die? costar. "He's always been somewhat of a 'dignified rebel'…"
Pitt lives up to the label in the retro 1990s shot. Then in his late twenties, the Thelma and Louise actor sports a goatee, long hair parted down the middle, and a partially unbuttoned collared shirt.
He is shown posing with his arm around Lewis, who started dating Pitt when she was just a teenager. Sporting a cropped bob with bangs, Lewis wears a floral dress and multiple bangles up her arms.
"I was a teenager at the time," Lewis told the Daily Mail in 2010 about her relationship with Pitt. "It's a lifetime away. I was in my high-school years and it was a wonderful, loving relationship with a fun, smart guy. Then it was over and he went on to become incredibly famous."
