A moment of Zen. During his Purpose World Tour stop in Boston on Wednesday, May 11, Justin Bieber was spotted taking a much-needed breather in a tree at the Boston Public Garden.

Dressed in a long, gray T-shirt and denim shorts worn over high black socks, the pop star, 22, looked content as he straddled a tree branch and lifted his arms in the air with a pair of headphones in his ears.

One day before hanging out in the tree, the Biebs visited the Boston Public Garden, where he was seen walking barefoot and feeding squirrels. The musician also lay down in the grass and took several selfies, one of which he shared with his 67.7 million Instagram followers. “Eyes are the window to the soul,” he wrote alongside the somber black-and-white snapshot.

During his two-day stay in Beantown, Bieber also paid a visit to the steakhouse STRIP by Strega following his Wednesday concert at TD Garden. A rep for the restaurant tells Us that the Grammy winner arrived by himself to the establishment at around 10:45 p.m.

“Bieber, alone, sat at the bar drinking Jack and Coke for a while where he chatted with the bartender,” the rep says of JB’s visit. “He was very friendly with guests and even took time to shake the hand of owner Nick Varano. Bieber was also chatty with on-duty managers and hung around outside the restaurant before coming back in and enthusiastically waving goodbye to everyone. Everyone went crazy!”

On Tuesday afternoon, the entertainer took to Instagram to tell his legions of Beliebers that he will no longer be taking pictures with them if approached in public.

“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture I’m done taking pictures,” he wrote. “It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.”

A source tells Us that the “Sorry” singer has been in search of some time away from the spotlight as his 64-city tour — which began on March 9 in Seattle and concludes on November 29 in London — has been a hectic time for him.

However, a second insider says that Bieber “has been working extremely hard night in and night out, and has his mind set on staying healthy and focused on this tour. He has really settled into a comfortable rhythm and is in a great state mentally.”

“He knows he’s on a marathon tour, he’s committed to working, and like any driven person that performs at a high level, is mindful of making sure he’s balancing his life to help provide the endurance he needs” the insider adds to Us. “Sometimes that includes simple acts like taking his shoes off in the grass on a beautiful spring day.”
