Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon Perform History of Rap 4 in Epic Hip Hop Medley

It’s the gift that just keeps on giving. Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon thrilled music fans everywhere on Friday, March 15, with a fourth installment of their “History of Rap” medleys, drawing in snippets of iconic songs from everyone from the Beastie Boys to Missy Elliot to Jay-Z.

Timberlake, who took over Fallon’s hot seat for a week-long residence on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, kept a straight face as the talk show host hinted at the pair’s previous collaborations.

“The last few times you’ve been on the show we’ve done the history of rap together…” Fallon, 38, said coyly.

“We couldn’t,” the “Suit & Tie” singer scoffed.

“We shouldn’t,” Fallon agreed.

“We wouldn’t!” Timberlake, 32, trumpeted before the two dove for their microphones and skittered to the front of the stage.

The hilarious duo then launched into an epic medley of songs, ranging from Sugarhill Gang‘s “Apache (Jump On It)” to the Snoop Lion’s “Gin and Juice” to Missy Elliot‘s “Get Your Freak On” to more recent artist Macklemore‘s “Thrift Shop.”

At one point in the performance, Fallon even pulled his suit jacket up over his head in a nod to Eminem‘s trademark hoods as the duo did their rendition of hit song “Lose Yourself.”

Earlier in the week, Timberlake, who was on hand to promote his new album, The 20/20 Experience, also gave several memorable performances (without Fallon!), including a performance of “Row Row Row Your Boat” dressed as Michael McDonald and his own hit “SexyBack” as a barbershop quartet.
